DiA Imaging Analysis has signed into a multi-year agreement with Change Healthcare to expand its AI solutions for Echo-lab cardiac exams.

The agreement will enable the firm to equip Change Healthcare’s imaging solutions with DiA’s FDA-cleared and CE-marked LVivo Seamless solution, an AI-based software for cardiac ultrasound.

The partnership between DiA and enterprise imaging solutions provider Change Healthcare is aimed at enhancing the efficiency of routine tasks and the effectiveness of workflow in the Echo Lab reading environment.

The expanded offering is expected to benefit the echocardiologists and other imaging specialists.

Change Healthcare enterprise imaging senior vice president and general manager Tracy Byers said: “The use of AI to help improve quality of care is accelerating. We at Change Healthcare pride ourselves on incorporating the most innovative, cutting edge technologies to help our customers provide a better quality of care for their patients and increase their operational efficiency.

“We are confident that working with DiA will augment our clinician’s workload, providing a faster and more objective analysis of scans and positively impacting patient outcomes and care.”

DiA’s LVivo Seamless solution is developed to automate the workflow for the evaluation of cardiac ultrasound images, which typically involves eyeballing and manual steps.

The solution automatically selects and analyses the optimal cardiac images to produce key clinical indications of both left and right ventricle function for review.

DiA chief executive officer and co-founder Hila Goldman Aslan said: “For artificial intelligence to be truly valuable, it must be integrated into the clinician’s daily routine and readflow.

“Our team at DiA Imaging Analysis is excited to be working with Change Healthcare, making our AI-based software accessible to echocardiologists and sonographers around the world.”

DiA received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the commercial use of LVivo Seamless for automatic view selection in October 2020.
