Dfine has received a five-year contract to supply its StabiliT Radiofrequency Targeted Vertebral Augmentation (RF-TVA) system to the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The StabiliT Vertebral Augmentation system is used to treat vertebral compression fractures (VCFs).

A small tube is placed into the fractured vertebra and a cavity is filled with a ultra-high viscosity StabiliT ER2 Bone Cement which permeates the surrounding bone to stabilize the fracture.

The RF-TVA procedure is performed with in 30-40 minutes to complete under local anesthesia.

The treated patients reported with back pain relief, improvements in their mobility and quality of life.
