Danaher Corporation (Danaher) announced that it will eliminate 3,330 jobs and close about 30 factories in an effort to save about $220 million annually, The Wall Street Journal reported. The company now expects restructuring costs to total $225 million to $250 million for 2009. Danaher had previously expected restructuring costs of $150 million to $170 million for 2009.

Danaher in April 2009, announced that it would reduce 2,300 jobs and close 16 factories as the global recession reduces demand.
