Dalian Orientech, a China distributor of BSD Medical, has purchased a BSD-2000 hyperthermia system.
BSD said following the recent renewal distributorship agreement with Orientech, this is the first of several BSD-2000 orders per year required under the 4-year contract with Orientech.
The BSD-2000 system utilizes BSD’s proprietary synchronous phased array technology to non-invasively target therapeutic heating to certain cancerous tumors, including those located deep within the body.
The BSD-2000 system also creates energy which can be used electronically to focus the target’s shape, size, and location of the tumor, thus providing control of the heating delivered to the tumor region.
Orientech has recently placed BSD-2000 hyperthermia system at Jiamusi Tumour Hospital, a premier oncology hospital in China.
