Cytomedix receives CE mark for blood separating systems

Cytomedix has received European CE mark approval for Angel Whole Blood Separation System and activAT Autologous Thrombin Processing Kit.

The Angel Whole Blood Separation System consists of a blood processing device and disposable products, which are used to separate whole blood into red cells, platelet poor plasma (PPP) and platelet rich plasma (PRP) in surgical settings.

The activAT Autologous Thrombin Processing Kit is used to generate autologous thrombin serum from platelet poor plasma.

The European CE mark allows Cytomedix to sell and distribute its products throughout the 28 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA) in accordance with the terms of the acquisition from the Sorin Group in April 2010.
