Curato, a Norwegian company in the area of radiology examinations, has fully implemented Sectra’s digital mammography system Sectra MicroDose Mammography at three of its mammography clinics.

Curato said that the decision to invest in Sectra MicroDose Mammography was made in November 2009 and it has a complete future-proof comprehensive solution for efficient digital mammography screening.

Sectra MicroDose offers improved or identical image quality at a lower radiation dose than all other solutions in the market. The comprehensive solution that Curato has selected also contributes to efficient workflow, in which images and patient information are available wherever they are required, regardless of time and place.

Hans Olav Almaas, president of Curato, said: “As a private care provider, being competitive and efficient is particularly important. We conduct examinations with a significantly lower radiation dose than other players in the private market can offer. We have already examined more than 2,500 women using our new system, and many have expressed their appreciation.”

Curato is a partner of the Norwegian public health service. Curato has agreements with all four of Norway’s Regional Health Authorities and operates 12 radiology clinics. Furthermore, Curato provides reading services for an additional 20 public hospitals.

Sectra develops and sells IT systems and products for radiology, mammography and orthopedic departments.
