Creganna-Tactx Medical has completed the acquisition of a manufacturer of vascular and angioplasty balloons, ABT Medical, for an undisclosed sum.
Under the acquisition, Creganna-Tactx will utilize the vascular and angioplasty balloons for peripheral vascular device applications.
ABT Medical has developed a proprietary processing technology which helps in manufacturing balloons up to 300mm in length, which is the longest available balloon components within the medical device market.
The technology also enables the company to manufacture various specialist balloons for other complex clinical applications such as valvuloplasty, GI & endoscopic devices and delivery of cryoablation therapy.
