Healthcare products company Covidien has expanded production of its enteral feeding pumps and sets, Kangaroo ePump and Kangaroo Joey.

Designed for use in institutional setting, the Kangaroo ePump enteral feeding pump features stepped connectors with a larger tip to prevent accidental connection to IV tubes as well as provide a secure connection with Kangaroo feeding tubes.

The ePump is also optimized with fully programmable variable feed, flush and hydration capabilities and easy to use ATM-style programming.

Having the same features as the Kangaroo ePump, the Kangaroo Joey enteral feeding pump has ambulatory capabilities, lightweight design and used in home setting.

In addition, all the Kangaroo enteral feeding products have purple color-coding to identify a nutritional port not for IV access, claims the company.

Covidien marketing director Gabriel McHugh Franchise said with the expansion, the company is confident that it can provide ample supply to meet market needs today and in the future.

"All Kangaroo feeding pumps and sets are currently in stock and available for shipment," Franchise added.
