Corpak MedSystems, a global medical device company, has announced the US launch of its Corgrip feeding tube retention system, a retention system specifically designed for nasogastric and nasointestinal enteral feeding tubes.

The patent-pending Corgrip feeding tube retention system prevents unwanted displacement or removal of feeding tubes.

Corpak MedSystems has already received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration and the device is currently being evaluated by several customers.

Corpak MedSystems president and COO Tom Kuhn said that the Corgrip system better meets customer needs for feeding tube securement in comparison to older techniques.

"CORGRIP has several innovative features including True Torque Technology, enabling articulation of the delivery catheter to aid in magnet connection, and the SSL clamp design, which allows easy positioning away from the nose and simple one hand securement with a Slot, Slide, and Lock motion," Kuhn added.
