DTx, a provider of long-life logistics support services for embedded medical devices, has agreed to sell all of its assets to CONTEC.

CONTEC is involved in providing industrial control technology, testing, and communication electronics to various automation industries.

DTx chairman Randall Poliner said CONTEC’s global footprint for service and support will be a advantage for the existing client base which is already world-wide in operation.

"The DTx product and technology roadmap is also greatly enhanced by bringing CONTEC’s expanded hardware and software engineering capabilities to our clients," Poliner added.

"This partnership began through our efforts to deliver higher value solutions into an increasingly global market.

"Being part of the same company to seamlessly deliver on our promises is a natural evolution."

The acquisition is expected to be finalized on 31 December 2012.
