Concentric Medical treats first cases with Trevo System in Canada

Concentric Medical, a developer of endovascular devices, has performed first cases in Canada using Trevo System, an easy-to-use system that utilizes Stentriever technology for the removal of clots that cause stroke.

The Trevo System, the first licensed retriever in Canada utilizing Stentriever technology, includes a Trevo device, Trevo 18 Microcatheter and DAC catheter, and was licensed by Health Canada for stroke patients.

The Trevo System was approved for thrombus retrieval.

The DAC, previously approved as a distal support catheter, has now been approved for aspiration of thrombus in the neurovasculature.

Concentric Medical president and CEO Maria Sainz said the technology represents an exciting opportunity for Concentric Medical, one that has the potential to greatly expand the treatment of stroke.
