The company has completed the construction on the additional ISO Class 7 clean room (Class 10,000) and it has been certified operational in November 2014.

Command will use the additional space for device assembly, ultrasonic welding and packaging operations.

Command Medical Products sales and marketing director Stephanie McGee said: "Command has experienced tremendous growth in 2014.

"Expanding our clean room capacity in Nicaragua and optimizing our operations in both Florida and Nicaragua has allowed Command to meet increased demands and also plan for continued growth in 2015.

Command noted that it will also begin RF Welding in the additional room once installation and qualification of the new capital equipment is completed in the first quarter of 2015.

Based in Ormond Beach of Florida, Command provides contract manufacturing services exclusively for the production of medical devices.

Its core competencies include extrusion of plastics tubing, RF welding, assembly and packaging services as well as management of injection molding and sterilization services.
