Clarius Mobile Health has secured a Technology Breakthrough Designation in the Ultrasound contract category from the US-based healthcare company Premier.
Effective 1 December 2023, the new agreement allows Premier members to benefit from the special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by Premier for Clarius technology.
Premier grants Breakthrough Technology designations to new technologies that provide a major advantage in patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational effectiveness.
Premier members, with a wide range of speciality-focused ultrasound scanners, AI applications, and best-in-class image quality will benefit from Clarius capabilities.

Clarius has developed diagnostic-quality ultrasound devices in the size of a smartphone, for enhanced portability from patient to patient throughout the hospital.
The miniature ultrasound devices are powered by artificial intelligence AI and are designed to work wirelessly with current iOS and Android devices.
Its Clarius PAL HD3 dual-array scanner for emergency medicine, critical care, anaesthesia, internal medicine, and nursing delivers high-resolution superficial and deep anatomy imaging.
The Clarius C3 HD3 convex and Clarius EC7 HD3 endocavity scanners are designed to provide a complete ultraportable solution.
Its linear scanners Clarius L15 HD3, Clarius L7 HD3, and Clarius L20 HD3, can be used for physiatry, orthopaedic surgery, pain management, and rheumatology, and the Clarius C3 HD3 convex for deeper hip and spine imaging.
Furthermore, the Clarius C7 HD3 offers high-resolution, high-frame-rate imaging, clearly down to 18cm, to facilitate paediatric ultrasound, said the medical device company.
