ChoiceSpine LLC, a privately-held spinal device manufacturer based in Knoxville, TN, announces today that it has launched its next-generation Harrier™ SA ALIF System.

Harrier SA is a 3D printed Stand Alone screw-based system that incorporates ChoiceSpine’s proprietary BioBond™ porous structure technology. The system features four titanium, dual-threaded corticocancellous screws designed for lag purchase. The interbody is available in three anatomical footprints with multiple lordotic options. Harrier SA has an integrated Cam-Locking Mechanism for additional security, allowing quick and secure screw back-out prevention. The Harrier SA System is indicated for Stand-Alone use. If additional fixation is desired, the system is compatible with our Raven™ Anterior Lumbar Plate System.

“The Harrier SA System instrumentation and implants provide an exceptional solution for my patients requiring anterior lumbar fusions. The wide variety of footprints and lordotic options allow for optimal restoration of the disc space. In addition, the system allows up to 45° screw angulation which is optimal for L5-S1 implant placement,” said Betsy Grunch, MD, a Design Surgeon for the Harrier SA system from Gainesville, Georgia.

Steve Ainsworth, PhD, ChoiceSpine’s EVP of Strategy and Technology, stated, “The launch of our next generation Harrier SA system builds on our already robust family of 3D printed product portfolio. Harrier SA provides surgeons an excellent Stand-Alone Solution for ALIF procedures.”
