The new system, which received CE mark and US FDA approval last year, features advanced technologies that will help to capture enhanced and low dose exquisite images.

Neusoft commenced the development of NeuSight scanner in 2012 and completed factory verification for four PET/CT prototypes in 2014.

The technology from Neusoft’s US healthcare subsidiary Positron was also used in the development of NeuSight system.

NeuSight PET/CT features high-end electronics that provide quality diagnostic images with fastest acquisition and post processing speeds, offering radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists with more accurate diagnostic information.

Neusoft Medical Systems CEO Patrick Wu said: "We have continuously contributing software and product engineering innovation to China’s medical industry for more than 20 years.

"The launch of NeuSight PET/CT is a new breakthrough for Neusoft in high-end medical equipment."

In May last year, the company also introduced NeuViz 128 CT, which is claimed to be the China’s first 128-slice CT system that provides accurate diagnostic information.

With subsidiaries in the US, UAE, Peru, Russia, Brazil, and Vietnam, Neusoft provides a wide range of medical equipment, comprising CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, PET/CT, linear accelerator and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products.
