Carestream Health, Inc. (Carestream) has received contract from Memorial Medical Center Neillsville (Memorial Medical). This purchase includes Carestream RIS/PACS and Carestream Hosted Information Management, two KODAK DIRECTVIEW Classic CR Systems and a KODAK DRYVIEW 6800 Laser Imager. This solution will serve the hospital and its three outpatient clinics.

“Carestream Health provides a fully featured RIS/PACS solution that is both scalable and affordable for our environment. Our staff was extremely impressed with the ordering, scheduling and billing capabilities of the RIS, while radiologists and clinicians appreciated the advanced tools and ease of use offered by the CARESTREAM PACS,” said Paul Harmer, the hospital’s director of radiology. “We were also able to achieve our objective of working with a single provider for RIS/PACS.”

Carestream RIS/PACS and Classic CR systems are designed to be easy to use to facilitate conversion from a film/paper environment. Once the system is implemented, existing paper and film processes will be replaced with an efficient electronic workflow. Physicians will order imaging exams online, patient scheduling will take place electronically, and the exams will be captured digitally and transmitted to PACS for reading and storage. The final radiology report will be available electronically to all authorized clinicians. Patient information and imaging exams will be transmitted to a Carestream Health data center for long-term storage and disaster recovery.
