Health care services firm Cardinal Health has introduced a new line of hospital-quality products under Hospital Quality at Home brand.

The new brand provides products to customers under different categories, including advanced wound care, first aid, personal care and home healthcare.

Cardinal Health clinical operations vice-president Heather O’Sullivan said: "Whether personally affected or acting as a loved one’s caregiver, the focus should remain on a fast and safe recovery.

"We remain committed to keeping the quality of patient care at the forefront, which is why Hospital Quality at Home products are a natural next step for our business. We understand that providing access to the same quality products used in hospitals can positively impact many lives."

Advanced wound care products are suitable to treat local wounds, such as blisters, minor cuts and scrapes, early stage bed sores, minor burns and minor surgical wounds.

First aid products have been designed to provide short-term pain relief for minor injuries, bruises, strains, and post-surgery.

Personal care products were designed for both men and women, including underwear, briefs, and protective pads and guards.

Home healthcare solutions include products such as bath safety, toilet accessories, daily living aids, canes and crutches, walkers and wheelchairs.

In March this year, Cardinal Health unveiled plans to acquire Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) Cordis business, for around $1.94bn in cash.

Cardinal Health manufactures medical and surgical products, including gloves, surgical apparel and fluid management products.
