CardiacAssist Inc. announced that it will exhibit its TandemHeart System in Orlando at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 58th Annual Scientific Session. The TandemHeart is the only 5 lpm net flow, percutaneous "extracorporeal circulatory support" device approved by the FDA for sale in the US. The ACC Annual Scientific Session will be held at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. CardiacAssist will host an educational symposium “Clinical Innovations and TandemHeart Support” at Cala Bella Restaurant. The Symposium will feature case presentations by Dr. Howard A. Cohen, Associate Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Lenox Hill Hospital, New York; Dr. Thomas C. Piemonte, Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, Mass; and Dr. James R. Revenaugh, Utah Heart Clinic/LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City.
