Novasys Medical said that treatment of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) using its Renessa system was found to be effective, safe and durable.

The FDA-cleared Renessa system is a proprietary non-surgical approach to treat SUI in women.

The results from three years post- treatment with Renessa demonstrated that 74% of patients with moderate to severe symptoms had improvement in quality of life, 71% of all patients experienced improvement in symptoms and quality of life, and 60% of patients reduced their incontinence episodes by at least half.

Investigator of study Harvey Winkler said the Renessa procedure was found not only safe and effective in treating the debilitating effects of SUI, but also improved symptoms and quality of life.

Novasys Medical president and CEO Scott Cramer said Renessa provides women and their physicians a proven effective, safe and durable alternative to surgery.
