BIT Group has announced the opening of its new 22,500ft2 ‘Center of Excellence for Life Science and IVD Products’ for BIT USA.
BIT Group operates two distinct BIT USA facilities – one that is focused on R&D and the other which is dedicated to instrument manufacturing and after sale services. The new Center of Excellence is located close to the Santa Ana Airport in the heart of the Irvine Spectrum district, while the manufacturing facility is less than an hour away in nearby San Diego.
The BIT USA R&D Center of Excellence boasts innovative capabilities for developing instrument prototypes; advanced 3D printing capabilities for rapid prototyping; and a dedicated CNC machine shop. Additionally, the new facility houses a wet lab – where instruments can be operated using customers’ reagents and samples, an EMC-shielded test room, optical and electronic lab.
BIT Group CEO Marius Balger said that the company’s new R&D center of excellence reflects the growing demand of its clients for comprehensive, advanced R&D services and helps it to sustain its leading market position by consolidating all R&D.
"We have constructed this Center to stimulate superior Team Collaboration and multi-disciplinary interactions. Additionally, the facility supports high-level R&D collaboration with our clients, with restricted areas providing a safe and confidential environment," Balger added.
