Biomet, a US-based orthopaedic and biotechnology products manufacturer, has introduced ePAK Single-Use Delivery System, meant for internal fracture fixation.
The ePAK system is a pre-sterilized, single-use procedure pack that is intended to provide added value by addressing the productivity needs of the operating room by saving time, minimizing cost, improving the efficiency.
The system is designed to address the distal radius fractures and it features the DVR Crosslock implant and instrumentation.
Biomet Sports Medicine Extremities and Trauma president Wil Boren said that the ePAK Single-Use System is an all-around solution, and the company is excited to be the first orthopaedic company to release a device in this category that addresses the needs of the orthopaedic surgeon, patient, and the hospital system.
"We are confident that both the ePAK™ System and the DVR® Crosslock will be important additions to our already successful trauma portfolio," Boren added.
