Biomerics, a leading provider of polymer solutions to the medical device market, announced its merger with Access Point Technologies and the creation of Biomerics Advanced Catheter Division.

The new division was formed to provide next generation catheter and minimally invasive surgical device solutions for the structure heart, interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, and neurovascular device markets.

Biomerics Advanced Catheter will be led by Steve Berhow, its Founder and President. Its manufacturing capabilities include material compounding, extrusion, braiding, catheter reflow, balloons, injection molding, over molding, laser welding, dipping and coating, pad printing, catheter assembly, packaging, and sterilization management. In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, the business provides design, development, quality, and regulatory support services.

Biomerics Advanced Catheter will be lead from its ISO-13485 and FDA registered facility in Rogers, Minnesota and will be supported by Biomerics’ manufacturing facilities in Salt Lake City, UT and Ashaway, RI.

The business unit contract manufactures advanced catheter components, procedural devices, nitinol assemblies, and finished medical devices for many of the world’s leading medical device companies.
