Biomedical Structures (BMS) has appointed Dean Tulumaris as new president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Tulumaris brings strategic planning, operations, mergers & acquisitions, and business and product development to BMS from companies focused on the outsourced development and manufacturing of medical devices- Memry Corporation and MedSource Technologies.

At Memry he directed a systematic expansion of production capabilities, both organically and through strategic acquisition to increase the service offerings to its medical device OEM customers and brought revenues to nearly double over three years.

Biomedical Structures chairman Randy Spencer said Dean’s addition to the team, along with their acquisition of Concordia Medical earlier this year, will continue to drive the impressive growth they have been enjoying and will accelerate BMS’s expansion of capabilities and services for their customers.

Biomedical developes and manufactures biomedical textiles for device manufacturers in the orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, and tissue engineering and regenerative medicine markets.
