Biolase Technology, a dental laser company, has appointed Federico Pignatelli as the permanent chief executive officer (CEO) of Biolase.
Biolase said that Pignatelli has agreed to continue at an annual salary compensation of $1 as chief executive officer.
Pignatelli is the chairman of the board of Biolase, and has served, over the past 16 years, in the capacities of executive chairman, interim CEO, and president.
Pignatelli said that he was pleased to accept the position as the chief executive officer of Biolase and he thanks the board of directors for its confidence in his leadership. He also said that he was looking forward to build significant value for their patented Waterlase YSGG technology, and diode products.
“I am firmly dedicated to substantially furthering Biolase’s technology in the dental field and in medicine,” Pignatelli said.
