Biolase Technology, the dental laser company, has reported that vice president of Engineering Dmitri Boutoussov, has been promoted to chief technology officer and will report directly to Federico Pignatelli, chairman and CEO of the company, effective immediately.
Boutoussov has joined Biolase in 2000 as director and was appointed as the vice president of Engineering in 2004, where he was responsible for the development of all current and new Biolase products and was a key participant in expanding the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
Pignatelli said that Dmitri has been integral to the development of their product offerings and will continue to play a key role in the future success of constant innovation at Biolase, Dmitri has also played a critical role in their product and technology success, serving for over 10 years at the company with great dedication and high competence.
“His knowledge and expertise in laser technology is profound and his contributions will be important to not only the introduction of new products, but also to the development of our technology roadmap and the direction the Company will take in medical applications other than dentistry,” Pignatelli said.
