Henry Schein subsidiary BioHorizons has introduced xenograft products family for dental implant site development procedures, MinerOss X.

The new family of products has been developed for extraction sockets, grafting for implant placement, ridge augmentation, and sinus augmentation.

The MinerOss X family comprises cancellous or cortical particulate, a moldable collagen block, and a cancellous particulate pre-loaded into a delivery syringe, which will support in optimal placement.

BioHorizons president and CEO Steve Boggan said the MinerOss X represents a significant addition to innovative tissue regeneration product portfolio.

"MinerOss X is a xenograft alternative for predictable bone regeneration and complements our highly successful line of MinerOss allografts," Boggan added.

MinerOss X particulates are available in size, ranging from 250µ to 1000µ, which offers better handling characteristics for a wide variety of regeneration procedures.

With a convenient screw-top lid, MinerOss X particulate is available in 0.25g, 0.5g, 1.0g and 2.0g easily accessible vials, while MinerOss X syringe is available in 0.25cc, 0.5cc and 1.0cc sizes for added convenience during surgery.

In addition, MinerOss X collagen is available in three sizes, which will support large and small grafting cases.
