Bio-Chem Fluidics is set to feature its new line of redesigned pinch valves at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Clinical Laboratory Expo, 2010. The valves are suitable for medical and IVD applications.

Bio-Chem Fluidics said that the new line of solenoid operated pinch valves are redesigned for effective operation. The molded body of each valve features smooth contours that guide tubing into the pinch points and eliminate snags and snares.

The new pinch valve 075, 100 and 150 series are available in 2-way normally open, 2-way normally closed, 3-way and dual tube configurations.

Bio-Chem Fluidics said that the valves are capable of continuous operation to meet 2 million cycle operating standard, and can remain in a fully charged state indefinitely without damage to the valve or tubing.

The new design is constructed from chemically resistant materials to protect against corrosion caused by cleaning solutions.

According to Bio-Chem Fluidics, optional features such as a tube sensor and manual override are available upon request.

New Jersey-based Bio-Chem Fluidics manufactures inert, solenoid-operated pinch valves, isolation valves, dispensing pumps and manifolds for a wide range of industries including analytical chemistry, clinical diagnostics and medical device manufacturers.
