Benvenue Medical, a developer of minimally invasive surgical and interventional solutions, has introduced Blazer vertebral augmentation system in the US.

Blazer system is designed for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures (VCF).

Blazer system facilitates spine specialists to mechanically create cavities via multiple channels in the vertebral body to direct the flow of bone cement, for predictability and control in vertebral augmentation procedures.

Benvenue Medical CEO Robert Weigle said Blazer compliments the company’s Kiva VCF treatment system, currently under an investigational device exemption (IDE) study named KAST.
