US-based medical gas equipment and services provider BeaconMedaes has introduced a new Series B Outlet Hook Trim Plate, designed to take unnecessary loads off medical gas outlets and equipment.

According to the company, which is part of the Atlas Copco Group, the new hook trim plate is a simple upgrade that provides a neat and inexpensive solution to a real concern.

The company noted that gas outlet reliability is essential to ensure medical gas is consistently provided to patients.

Generally, in a hospital’s emergency and standard patient rooms, wires and setup items are often draped over flowmeters and vacuum regulators, exposing sterile packages to damage and contamination.

The new trim plate, which features a retractable hook, simplifies set-up without damaging the equipment or medical gas outlet for worry-free and dependable service.

BeaconMedaes product manager Jonathan Brooks said: "Once again, BeaconMedaes has solved a considerable problem with potential medical gas outlet leaks in the hospital through the invention of the Series B Outlet Hook Plate.

"The problem with these loads is that they can potentially cause leaks in the outlet, costing the hospital in expensive gas loss."

The new Series B Outlet Hook Trim Plate takes the loads off the medical gas outlets, increasing their longevity and ensuring gas leaks are reduced.

During the manufacturing process, the trim plates are incorporated with biomaster, an additive proven to reduce bacterial and mold growth, to ensure the protection lasts for the lifetime of the product.

The company noted that the hook trim plate can be installed with any Series B or similar medical gas outlet in new construction facilities or can easily replace existing dress frames.
