Beacon Endoscopic has introduced the BNX system for use in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic bronchial ultrasound procedures.

The BNX system includes a delivery system designed for loading and unloading fine needle aspiration (FNA) needles of varying sizes.

The system also automatically sheaths all needles with a shield during needle removal.

The company said it will use the BNX delivery system, as a conduit for other next generation devices that are currently in development including Samsen compression anastomosis technology designed to address metabolic disease and gall bladder disease.

Beacon Endoscopic co-founder Brian Tinkham said, "We are pleased with the high level of clinical interest in the BNX System, our novel delivery system for EUS procedures and believe that by working with and learning from the key GI opinion leaders, we can maximize the success of our full commercial launch to the broader market."
