The company said that Dr Streeter will relocate to Gainesville, Florida from San Diego, California where he served most recently as the founder and chief scientific officer of PhotoThera, a medical device company investigating the use of light energy to treat various diseases and health conditions.

Dr Streeter expects to continue service as an advisor to PhotoThera and be a steering committee member for its NEST-3 Pivotal clinical study for the treatment of ischemic stroke.

Dr Streeter has earned his BS degree in Biology from the University of Nevada Reno and his MD from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Before founding PhotoThera and serving as president and chief executive officer from 2002 to 2006, Dr Streeter served as an officer in the US Navy.

He completed a general surgery internship at Naval Regional Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia and then primary Flight School at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. During his military service Streeter was the first Naval Flight Surgeon selected as a TOPGUN staff instructor.
