Atrium Medical Corporation, a provider of biological, mechanical and therapeutic solutions for soft tissue reinforcement, has signed a three-year national contract with Premier Purchasing Partners, the group purchasing organization of Premier.
Atrium Medical has also been awarded a three-year dual-source surgical mesh agreement for Premier’s Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor (ASCEND) program member-participants.
ASCEND assists Premier alliance member hospitals in ongoing efforts to control and reduce costs through simplified purchasing processes, appropriate clinical utilisation and negotiated contracts. Both contracts are effective from October 1, 2010.
Under the agreement, members of the Premier healthcare alliance are expected to have access to specially negotiated pricing and terms for Atrium’s surgical mesh products, including Atrium’s first-to-market Bioabsorbable Omega 3 Fatty Acid (O3FA) coated surgical mesh, C-QUR.
The agreement also includes C-QUR V-Patch, C-QUR Lite, Prolite and Prolite Ultra Polypropylene meshes, ProLoop and SFP mesh plug products.
