US-based Atreo Services has introduced new single latch and end-opening 6in sealed pneumatic tube system carrier for hospitals.

Carrier

The new carrier has been designed to safely transport hospital laboratory specimens, pharmaceuticals and other liquid contents in common brand-name pneumatic tube systems.

Atreo Services president Dennis McWherter said: "Hospital tube system users now have a choice for sealed, leak-resistant carriers that provide exceptional quality and value.

"Atreo’s carrier offers outstanding leak protection, durability, quiet delivery and a user-friendly shape that improves workflow productivity. Best of all, we deliver all of this value at a market-leading price."

Compared to common shell carriers, the new sealed carrier features an end-opening design that enhances workflow by allowing users to hold the carrier with one hand while loading contents and latching it shut with the other.

According to the company, the design eradicates the potential for unlatched transport and over-stuffing of contents that can lead to tube system failure and costly downtime.

The polycarbonate body is capped with energy-absorbent rubber ends, in a bid to impart strength, quiet delivery and vertical standing.

Compatible with most common 6in tube systems, the company is providing a variety of carrier options with colored ends and clear body for easy content identification.

Also providng a variety of pneumatic tube system accessories, Atreo is the preferred service provider for TransVac Solutions.
