American Scientific Resources (ASR) has re-branded its Kidz-Med 5-in-1 non-contact thermometer to Kidz-Med VeraTemp, by updating the packaging to a brighter cleaner look.

ASR SVP Jason Roth said they made the changes to distance Kidz-Med VeraTemp non-contact thermometer from the laser light foreign model previously sold by American Scientific Resources; to make sure that the new Kidz-Med VeraTemp was not associated with the previous thermometer’s reputation, to increase market share.

"The new name and consumer-oriented packaging are designed to better align with our customers’ needs, expressly focusing on the unmistakable benefits of non-contact thermometry," Roth said.

ASR SVP of Sales Marc Massoglia said the company wants to make a statement to consumers that non-contact thermometers have changed; they can now be accurate and priced for mass market appeal.

"Our Kidz-Med VeraTemp combines intelligent design, accuracy and affordable pricing in one package. The ease of use makes precise measurements quite simple. Our refined packaging should be a big hit," Massoglia said.
