ArthroCare, a developer of surgical devices, instruments and implants, has received the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for its SpeedLock Knotless Fixation Device.

SpeedLock is made of polyether-etherketone polymer which aids surgeons with independent bone lock, suture tensioning and suture lock and is used for soft tissue fixation to bone, primarily in labral repair procedures.

ArthroCare devices use its patented Coblation technology which dissolves target tissue and limits damage to surrounding healthy tissue.

The company’s surgical devices also use patented technology including its OPUS line of fixation products as well as re-usable surgical instruments.
