Arkray has re-introduced the CLIA waived DiaScreen 50 Urine Chemistry Analyzer.

The company’s DiaScreen 50 enables easy in-office urine testing. It provides instrument read results that eliminate color interpretation variability between operators. An easy-to-read printout saves time and minimizes transcription errors. Patient identification may be entered with the keypad, barcode reader, or the keyboard of a connected computer.

The company claims that DiaScreen 50 tests urine specimens for the presence of leukocytes, specific gravity, urobilinogen, glucose, ketone, bilirubin, protein, nitrite, blood, and pH. It uses the DiaScreen Reagent Strips.

Jonathan Chapman, president of Arkray, US, said: “We’re excited about the addition of the DiaScreen 50 to our growing Point of Care product offering. Having just launched the Spotchem EZ Chemistry Analyzer, Arkray USA is committed to bringing more products to the point of care marketplace.”
