Argon Medical Devices, a manufacturer of specialty medical products, has introduced UltraStream chronic hemodialysis catheter in the US.
The UltraStream catheter is designed to provide long-term vascular access to patients receiving dialysis treatments.
The catheter is available with dual lumen arterial lines and a modified step tip design which allow for high flow rates and ease of insertion.
The step tip design allows for placement, both over the wire, and through a peel-away sheath.
Argon president George Leondis said UltraStream provides clinicians with a tool to improve care and quality of life for their patients.
As announced on 16 November 2010, Argon has licensed UltraStream chronic hemodialysis catheter from Rex Medical.
