Atlanta-based American CyberSystems (ACS), an information technology services company, has acquired an Atlanta-based IT services company XRoads Consulting.

The aquisition broadens the ACS footprint technically with added solutions expertise and vertically into the healthcare industry marketplace.

The merger between the two information technology companies provides the combined customer base increased coverage for their solutions requirements.

American CyberSystems president and CEO Raj Sardana said they are excited to announce the acquisition of XRoads Consulting.

"The sale brings a global recruiting and delivery process for our newly merged customers and provides ACS with expanded access into the growing healthcare industry and the merger will allow us to serve our current customers in an improved manner while assuring an expanded presence in a growing vertical market," Sardana said.

"We are also pleased to retain the owner of XRoads Consulting, Ruben Santana, as senior vice president of Business Development for American CyberSystems.

"Ruben and his team will be strengthening ACS’s Atlanta presence as well as establishing a new and improved healthcare IT practice. Ruben has aided companies in their business growth by assembling teams that drive revenue and profitability."

XRoads has also specialized in the healthcare IT space, providing pharmaceutical and healthcare clients with EMR and clinical resources.
