Medflow has collaborated to deliver American Academy of Ophthalmology's patient education tools through its electronic health records (EHR) software.
Medflow users can now have immediate access to the Academy’s patient-education handouts and videos which are designed to inform and educate patients about their eye conditions and related treatment options.
The initiative facilitates eye care practices meet the meaningful use criteria of the EHR incentive program of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2010.
American Academy of Ophthalmology communications and marketing vice president Renaldo Juanso said this partnership will enable more Academy ophthalmologists to educate their patients about their eye conditions and related treatment options through a secure, electronic platform.
