AmbiCom, a California-based designer and developer of wireless products focusing on the wireless medical industry, has formed a joint alliance between its AmbiCom Technology subsidiary and Taiwan-based infrared ear thermometers manufacturer E-Care Technology.
ECT also develops other medical devices such as intra-oral camera (dental camera).
The agreement, which became effective 1 May 2011 and runs for a period of three years, will give AmbiCom access to home health medical devices and engineering to integrate wireless communications components.
Under this joint alliance, ECT will develop, test and manufacture infrared ear thermometers and other medical devices as ATI private-labeled products under the brand name ‘E-Care USA.’
AmbiCom CEO and chairman John Hwang said together, they expect to develop and introduce a superior product to US customers by the end of this year.
