Allscripts has entered into an agreement to implement M Modal's speech and language understanding technology.
Under the agreement, using M Modal’s technology, Allscripts will gain capabilities to create content-rich, voice-driven narrative patient documentation within its electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Allscripts is also incorporating M Modal’s technology into its mobility offerings including its Sunrise Mobile MD II product for on-the-go speech understanding capability.
Sunrise Mobile used for the iPad, facilitates physicians to view complete patient context, use real-time speech to create immediate and detailed progress reports and other clinical notes, and have this documentation available to drive actions in the Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager system.
M Modal chairman and CEO Vern Davenport said they are pleased to collaborate with Allscripts to bring its large enterprise physician user-base innovative technology to generate meaningful, actionable clinical content in ways that respect how they want to document patient encounters.
