All-Med Services of Florida has promoted Jorge Pereda, a 20-year veteran in the home health care industry, to the position of CEO.

Prior to being named as CEO for All-Med Services, Mr Pereda co-founded Visiting Nurse Managed Care Corporation (VNMCC) in 1997 and Southeast Homecare Corporation (SHC) in 2002.

Mr Pereda assumed the role of president of home health division for All-Med Services of Florida when it acquired VNMCC and SHC on December 31, 2009.

Raul Rodríguez, executive chairman of All-Med Services, said: “After working closely with Jorge for the last two decades, I was impressed with his talent, discipline, and dedication, and am excited to see what the future holds under his leadership.

“As pioneers in creating the fully-integrated Home Health Care Delivery platform, Rodríguez and Pereda have continuously sought to improve upon the vehicle they developed to better meet the needs of the Managed Care industry. These improvements have led to significant reductions in health plan medical loss ratios and administrative overhead, streamlined referral processes, and greatly simplified service delivery.”

Mr Pereda said: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve as the chief executive officer, and look forward to the challenge of expanding an already successful and unique platform nationally. We have a very talented and motivated leadership team, which I am certain will pave the way toward achieving our goals and objectives.”
