A-Life Medical, a provider of computer-assisted coding (CAC) products and services to the healthcare industry, has promoted president Jaye Connolly to the additional post of CEO, effective immediately.

Connolly has joined A-Life Medical in April 2010 and has been serving as president since then and will continue in that role as well.

Previously, Connolly also served as chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO) at A-Life Medical for more than five years.

Before joining A-Life, she served as vice president of Business Development/Mergers and Acquisitions at InSight Health and director of Internal Audit at Laboratory Corporation of America, where she implemented the company’s corporate wide compliance, audit and ethics program.

A-Life Medical executive chairman Robert Jaffe said that in the past five years since joining A-Life, Connolly has consistently demonstrated her capabilities and helped fuel the company’s recent, rapid growth.

“We knew that Connolly was the right fit for this position not only because of her experience with our organisation but also based on her analytic and organisational skills, keen business acumen and the decades she devoted to work in management, finance and acquisitions,” Jaffe said.

Connolly said that A-Life’s CAC portfolio is a proprietary and patented solution using natural language processing technology, LifeCode.
