AirStrip Technologies has made its new AirStrip Patient Monitoring solution available for medical professionals to download from the Apple App Store.
AirStrip said that its Patient Monitoring solution securely sends critical patient information directly from hospital monitoring systems, bedside devices, and electronic health records to a clinician’s mobile device.
AirStrip applications are powered over wireless networks, delivering virtual real-time and historic, interactive waveform and relevant clinical data.
With AirStrip technology, clinicians can immediately communicate and collaborate using their mobile device and a more timely treatment plan can be developed, resulting in improved clinical outcomes.
AirStrip Technologies said that its solutions are available on a subscription basis, and are purchased for medical professionals by their hospital or healthcare system and all solutions are designed to comply with federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
AirStrip Technologies co-founder and chief technology officer Trey Moore said that their Patient Monitoring solution is a native solution on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
“The iPad version also offers some functionality, such as dynamic and interactive Patient Monitoring surveillance screens that allow a user to follow the real-time waveforms of several patients at once,” Moore said.
“The power, UI and screen size of the iPad, coupled with a native AirStrip application, has allowed us to create new Patient Monitoring functionality that has not been seen before on a mobile device.”
