AdvancedCath, a subsidiary of Inverness Graham Investments, has acquired LSA Laser, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will enhance AdvancedCath’s laser welding and micro machining capabilities, which can be used in its existing catheter and guidewire manufacturing business.

AdvancedCath CEO Randall Sword said the LSA Laser produces laser machined components and assemblies, which no other supplier can deliver.

"They have a long history as a trusted partner to medical device OEMs which they’ve built through engineering expertise and excellent customer service," Sword added.

LSA Laser is specialised in laser cutting, laser welding, laser ablation and laser marking, as well as offers precision medical device manufacturing and assembly services to medical device OEMs.

The firm’s components and assemblies are used in different medical devices such as coronary, peripheral and neuro vascular devices, stimulation leads, surgical instruments, dental and orthopedic devices.

AdvancedCath’s catheter and guidewire systems are used in complex interventional and endosurgical procedures.
