Under the agreement, Advanced Radiology will implement Merge’s radiology information system (RIS) which is web-based and streamlines workflow and picture archiving communication system (PACS) which provides storage and access to images from any enterprise web-based location.
It will also implement Merge Financials, a web-based billing system that improves revenue cycle management; Merge Documents, a paperless office solution to store and manage documents electronically and Merge CADstream, a MRI-CAD for breast, liver and prostate analysis and reporting.
Merge Healthcare CEO Jeff Surges said with Merge’s radiology suite they now have a single solution that has tight RIS/PACS integration and provides singular reporting capabilities for RIS and Financials.
"Plus, they are now equipped to achieve meaningful use and obtain up to $44,000 in stimulus incentives for their radiologists," Surges said.
