The company will showcase the new implant at the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Foundation (AAO-HNSF) conference in San Diego.
The conference will take place from 18 to 21 September.
Featuring advanced electronics technology and HiFocus Mid-Scala electrode, the new implant will protect the delicate structures of the cochlea.
According to the company, the HiRes Ultra includes several features that are designed to suit individual patient anatomy and surgical preferences.
The HiRes Ultra impant can undergo 1.5T MRI scans with the magnet left in place.
The implant provides recipients access to the firm’s Naída CI sound processor and wireless accessories, which integrate with advanced Phonak sound cleaning features.
AB is currently providing HiRes Ultra implant in North America and European markets.
According to the company, the implant will be available in all other regions based on regulatory approval by sector.

Advanced Bionics, which is a subsidiary of Sonova Group, is engaged in the development of advanced cochlear implant systems.
The company also produces HiResolution Bionic ear system, designed to help recipients hear in noisy settings.
