Radixact

Radixact system enables clinicians to deliver an effective and precise treatment for a wide range of cancer patients, including those undergoing retreatment.

The system features an advanced linear accelerator, MVCT imaging and helical treatment delivery capabilities, helping clinicians to provide conformal and homogenous dose distributions to any target volume and precisely sparing normal healthy tissue during each treatment fraction.

It will also allow clinicians to adapt delivery to changes in tumor size, shape and location within the patient.

Accuray president and CEO Joshua Levine said: "The Radixact System gives the radiation therapy team expanded capabilities across the widest range of patient cases, from the routine to the most complex, with precision, speed and efficient workflows."

The company plans to makes the new system available for customers in the first quarter of fiscal year 2017.

Apart from the Radixact System, Accuracy has also obtained 510(k) clearance for its new Accuray Precision treatment planning system and iDMS data management system.
