Acacia Research's subsidiary has acquired rights to a patent portfolio for prescription lens technology.
Acacia Research’s subsidiaries partner with inventors and patent owners, license the patents to corporate users, and share the revenue.
The subsidiaries control over 170 patent portfolios, covering technologies used in a wide variety of industries.
Acacia chairman and CEO Paul Ryan said as Acacia’s licensing success grows, an increasing number of technology companies are selecting them as their partner for the licensing of their patented technologies.
"Acacia is rapidly becoming the leader in technology licensing and we continue to grow our base of future revenues by adding new patent portfolios," Ryan said.
