ABEL Medical Software, a provider of EMR and practice management solutions for physicians, has introduced an OEM program for EHR-EMR/PM products.

ABEL’s new OEM program and EHR-EMR/PM solution enables resellers, medical software developers, equipment, device and supply manufacturers to enter into the EHR market.

ABEL Medical’s EHR–EMR/PM v11 is certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT(R)), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable ELIGIBLE PROVIDER (EP) certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The certified criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the ARRA Act.

The ARRA provides the health care industry with over $20bn in stimulus expenditures for the development and adoption of HIT.

The largest allocation of funding of $17bn is for incentive payments through the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement systems to encourage providers and hospitals to implement EHR technology.

ABEL Medical Software chairman and CEO Arun Rele said by providing certified, practice enhancing healthcare IT solutions help physicians to become meaningful EHR users and receive stimulus funding.
